Auctiva Review

My Review of Auctiva

Originally founded in 1998 by Jeff Schlicht, the goal of Auctiva was to provide eBay sellers and buyers with a platform to sell their items that were simple to use. Although it began as a desktop application, Auctiva has been updated and remodeled through the years to become a comprehensive software system. It offers numerous features to make the task of listing one’s items much simpler, and it also allows a seller to set up their own standalone store on eBay or through their own private website if they so desire.

An eBay seller who utilizes the services of Auctiva will be provided with over 1,000 templates that they may use to make their store unique and to stand out among the others on eBay. An additional feature of Auctiva that many sellers enjoy is the centralized, scrolling gallery that allows them see all of the products they currently have listed. A one page lister allows a seller to create and save each of their listing profiles, and listings may be scheduled to be listed on a specific date or be relisted if they have not sold.

When a seller chooses to engage the services of Auctiva, they will be presented with four different levels of membership to choose from: free, basic, unlimited, and premium. A free membership provides a seller with access only to the scrolling gallery and the ability to store up to 1MB of images. The basic membership costs approximately $2.95 per month, and it allows one to place 15 listings each month, provides access to Auctiva Suite and the scrolling gallery, and the seller will be able to list up to 500MB of images.

An unlimited membership to Auctiva will cost roughly $9.95 a month. In addition to access to all of the previous features, the seller can have unlimited listings and store up to 1GB of images. The premium membership to Auctiva requires a monthly membership fee of $19.95, and a seller will be provided with all of the benefits of a basic membership, but he or she will also have the option to open their own Auctiva Commerce Store. The seller will be provided with their own domain name for their store, and they have the option of choosing whether or not to integrate their store with eBay.

Overall, Auctiva has won favorable reviews from consumers and professionals alike. One of the highlights of Auctiva for many sellers was the fact it allowed them to customize their stores to make them uniquely individual. The fact that sellers did not have to pay fees per image uploaded was also highly praised. With all of the features that a seller needs right at their fingertips, Auctiva is a worthwhile investment for a seller who wants to get their business off of the ground.
